I recently received three Revlon lip products (gifted) to review including a lip gloss, lip liner and a lip polish. One product was an obvious winner and one an absolute fail! Keep on reading if you are interested in my experience with these Revlon lip products.
Revlon Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish: https://shopstyle.it/l/6NjW CLAIM: Revlon’s Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish gives you lacquered lips in one swipe, is infused with Vitamin E and Shea butter, and has a precise applicator for smooth application. REVIEW: I received the shade Berry Blissed, an ultra shiny berry shade perfect for fall! I really liked that this product felt nourishing and was easy to apply. This delivered a high shine vinyl finish that makes for a great photo! My only concern with such a bold and moisturizing product is that it will move--and it did ever so slightly into the corners of my mouth with just talking. I would not recommend wearing this product in a deep shade if you are attending an event where there is eating and drinking involved. It will end up all of your glass and your face! If you are going to brave this scenario, then I recommend that you bring a mirrored compact and the Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish for touchups. Revlon Super Lustrous The Gloss: https://shopstyle.it/l/6Nmw CLAIM: Revlon Super Lustrous The Gloss provides glossy color, non-stick shine, and a new formula with agave for moisturized lips. REVIEW: I received the shade Rose Quartz, which is a glossy holographic pink. I loved the packaging as soon as I saw it. It has a very high-end vibe with the font and gold lettering. This has the biggest wand/doe foot applicator I have ever seen on a lip product. This is apparently called a reservoir tip and was designed to saturate the lips with color. Revlon claims that this Super Lustrous Lipgloss is not sticky or tacky, but I don't 100% agree. While I did not find this lip gloss to be sticky, I did find that it had a slight tackiness to it--the kind that means the gloss will be on your lips for awhile. In lipglosses, I always tend to lean toward these lighter shades due to ease of application and the ability to reapply on the go without much afterthought. Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner: https://shopstyle.it/l/6Nmx CLAIM: Revlon’s ColorStay Longwear Lip Liner gives you flawless application with color that applies evenly, defines lips, and lasts all day. REVIEW: I will start by saying that maybe I received a bad liner. Maybe. It was awful! It immediately broke and then broke inside of the included sharpener when I tried to fix it. I gave up and applied it to my lips with it's flat top, only for it to continue to crumble onto my lips. I have never seen anything like it. There used to be a Revlon liner that was my holy grail, and it was nothing like this one! I received the shade Wine and it was recommended that I pair it with mauve & berry shade lipsticks, so I applied it underneath the Berry Blissed Ultra HD Vinyl Lip Polish. I strongly encourage you to check out my First Impressions video on these three Revlon lip products. Some of my favorite videos are first impressions because it is a completely raw review. Have you tried any of these Revlon lip products?

I’ve been using this product for a couple weeks now, so here is my review! This product is a little difficult to get out of the pan, I usually have to rub my brush across it a few times to pick up any powder. This is a finishing powder, so it is not meant to set makeup or add any additional coverage. It has a slight peach tint and very light shimmer, almost like a veil. I do feel like it blurs imperfections , pores and light texture. If you have dry patches or heavy texture, this product may not be for you. I would apply sparingly, again as it is a finishing powder and should be applied as your final step. This does leave a slight peachy/pink tint so depending on your skin tone it might not work for you. I tend to have peachy undertones anyway so I didn’t notice much of a difference. I am definitely happy I picked this up to try & especially for that price! And hello! The packaging is adorable. Did you shop on Amazon Prime Day? I never seem to go for the big ticket items, but found some great deals in the beauty section! I have always wanted to try the Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask & Hada Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream, so this was the perfect opportunity to check them out! I also purchased this great set of earrings! They were not a prime deal, but they work out to be about $2 a pair! Click the photos below to go straight to the Amazon listing if your are interested!

The ColourPop Cosmetics Mar Palette has easily been one of my favorite eye shadow palettes of the summer. I find the color combinations to be very versatile, allowing natural and creative looks alike. I did a more bold look for my birthday and you can check it out HERE. I started by buffing Sorbet into the crease as a transition color. I placed Wild One on the outer half of the eyelid and Boozy on the inner half. Sometimes I'll stop right there and keep the look neutral, maybe running Wild One along the lower lashline. But I decided to add a little pop of color to this look and used a combination of Gridlock and Hwy on the lower lashline. Mar Palette: https://shopstyle.it/l/6pLpshopstyle.it/l/6pLp I needed something to go with my What Would Dolly Do? shirt from Remy + Rose Boutique, after all. I've been in and out of Marshall's recently treasure hunting and found some really great things! I always make sure to check out the beauty section and here are my tips for finding the goods:

I have been using the Too Faced products and really like them! The Sweetie Pie Bronzer would definitely be best for fair to light/medium skintones as it is not that dark. What has been your best Marshall's find? I received this box of IsaDora Cosmetics through a BzzAgent campaign for testing purposes. I was not financially compensated & all opinions are my own. IsaDora Cosmetics is a Swedish brand that was started in the 80s that is Fragrance Free & Clinically Tested. In the states, it is sold exclusively at Walgreen's. They claimed that it was formulated due to the lack of colors, quality, low price point and packaging found in other brands on the market at the time. I'm not quite sure how the brand has transitioned throughout the years, if at all. I personally found the packaging and performance of the products to be subpar to other drugstore products available today, especially for the price! For example, the Face Sculptor retails for $25 and the clear circular insert of the packaging has already come loose. I did enjoy using the foundation and did not experience any weird patchy areas as it wore through the day and I liked that it had a pump on it. While the liquid liner was a bear to apply due to the large and inflexible applicator, it did last the whole day and took some effort to remove. And finally, the mascara has an expandable wand to allow more control during application and although it is not a waterproof formula, it really held the curl in my stick straight stubborn lashes. I have been a Younique Presenter for almost 5 years, and sell a lot more casually than I used to as my priorities have changed. BUT this is one of the products I 100% stand by. I personally use the nude shades more than the bold ones, and these are 3 of my favorites. I’m a fan of liquid lipsticks, but because they are matte they can often dry out my already parched lips. The reason I reach for this formula more than any other, is because it contains vitamins C & E so it doesn’t dehydrate my lips. As you can see in my swatches, the texture is velvety and opaque. My top 3 nude shades are: Sublime, Sympathetic & Stellar but more have been added to the collection! BUY HERE: http://bit.ly/2TyiNX9
Remember to always exfoliate your lips before applying any matte lip product for best results. xo Sarah
I don't know about you, but if I am doing a little online shopping and there's an option to get free shipping when you spend a certain amount, I'm gonna make it happen! So when my mom asked for some new eyeshadow for Mother's Day, I turned to ColourPop. I really enjoy their easy to use Super Shock eyeshadow formula, and picked up a palette that coordinated. I was so close to that free shipping threshold, and I had really been wanting to add a few fun colors to my collection...so I purchased the Mar palette for myself.
I really liked that there was a mix of both neutral and bold colors, satins, metallics and mattes.
Sorbet makes for a beautiful warm orange-toned crease color and blended well for a matte. The satins & metallics all blended easily and I sprayed my eyeshadow brush with rose water to pick up and intensify the blues. The only shade I found difficult to work with was the dark matte brown shade, Top Down. I found that packing the color made it a little less patchy looking but I ended up layering Detour over it anyway. I also appreciated having everything I needed in ONE palette. Transition/crease color, highlight, bold and neutral shades. I hate having to dip into multiple palettes, especially if I am doing a tutorial. I have seen mixed reviews on this palette, but for the price I think it’s a YES if you want something a little different and travel-friendly in your collection. I decided to do something a little bold for my birthday look last week. Because who doesn't want to wear blue eyeshadow while doing everyday things like eating pizza and getting a pedicure. #extra
1️⃣Place cream shadow in the shade VICTORIOUS all over eye area to create a bare canvas and act as a primer.
2️⃣Use a fluffy blending brush to place the shade SORBET into the crease and up onto the browbone. 3️⃣Place the shade TOP DOWN into the outer corner. I packed the color on somewhat with a shader brush. 4️⃣In the middle of the lid, place GRIDLOCK vertically from lashline to crease. 5️⃣On the bare section closest to your nose, place the shade HWY and blend very slightly into the last shade to create a gradient effect. 6️⃣On the outer corner of the eye, place the shade DETOUR and blend slightly past where we placed top down. 7️⃣Place EL REY in the very inner corner of the eye. You can also place this under the arch of your brow. 8️⃣Using a small crease brush, place the shade WILD ONE on lower lash line starting at the outer corner and blending inward. 9️⃣Touch up SORBET in the crease if needed.
You could definitely create a cut crease to make this look more crisp, but that's just not a technique I tend to use. Here are the products I used for this look in case you want to check them out for yourself!

I have been testing out the Rouge Signature Matte Colored Lip Inks by L'Oréal Paris. The shades I have include: I Create, I Am Worth It, and I Rule. They have such a unique texture and formula compared to all of my other lip products! I did a video with my review and swatches if you are interested! P.S. Meet my new handbag. Her name is Whitney. The variations are endless. To create this look, I used loose pigments and blended them in a mask-like pattern in the center of my face. I chose to use purple, pink, blue and green but you can use whatever it is that you have on hand. The pigments I used are no longer available for sale, but I will list the other products below.
