I recently filmed a try-on session for my Instagram Story, and snapped a few photos to share here on the blog. I went to Remy + Rose Boutique located in St. Louis, MO with the goal of putting together outfits for that summer to fall transition that is upon us. I think a lot of these outfits could transition by switching out the sandals for booties, and layering a jacket for chilly nights.
If you couldn't already tell that I loved them, I came home with those ripped Cello jeans--they fit like a glove without any awkward gapping in the back. I also took home the black Hi-Lo top because it made me feel like Beyonce! That olive green bralette and ivory sweater are on my wishlist, and I have that felt hat in a dark gray from the boutique. Did you shop on Amazon Prime Day? I never seem to go for the big ticket items, but found some great deals in the beauty section! I have always wanted to try the Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask & Hada Labo Skin Plumping Gel Cream, so this was the perfect opportunity to check them out! Throw on this sweet little tiered babydoll dress, flat sandals and stud earrings and head to the farmer's market this weekend. Don't forget to put your sunnies and some cash in your little straw handbag so you can taste the last of summer's sweetness.
August is right around the corner, and it's hard to believe that summer is almost over. I don't know about you, but anytime I pack 25 outfits to wear on my beach vacation, I end up only wearing a swimsuit and a cover up for 95% of the trip. Many resorts will insist that men wear a full outfit to any of the restaurants, but women can get away with a nice coverup, especially during the day. I swear, it's the only time women can feel like they have fewer rules (and I love it).
I think the swimsuit cover ups that I have selected below would be great for any pool party or vacation you have planned this summer. The last thing I want to do is sit around in my bikini and stuff my face poolside with my food baby on full display. These coverups will make you feel more confident and also comfy at whatever event you find yourself at that involves water.

They had food catered, adult capri suns, a fashion show, live demonstrations of cosmetic injectables and a rep present to answer questions and customize skincare. 
I am a brand ambassador for Remy + Rose Boutique, so you have probably seen me mention them in the past if you follow any of my social media accounts. I also wrote a blog post and did a try-on haul in this post here. They have a combination of super cute basics, trendy items, bralettes, jewelry, shoes and accessories. When I saw this "What Would Dolly Do?" Graphic T-Shirt it was love at first sight. I also decided to try on these elastic high-waisted button up denim shorts and they fit like a DREAM! This gray trendy hat was out of my comfort zone, but I ended up purchasing that as well. Cue me going to Pinterest to see how all the young, cool girls style it. If you know me at all, you know I looove hiding underneath a baseball cap, because hello--you don't have to style your hair. So I'm hoping this will be my fancier and less frumpy option.  They also had a fashion show with models in 4 different age ranges to demonstrate how the clothing from Remy + Rose Boutique can be styled for each person. Skincare and treatment recommendations were also made, which I thought was a really smart idea!
 All For You MedSpa has an amazing Nurse Injector named Julie and she did live demonstrations of both Botox and Juvederm Ultra. I originally filmed this in portrait mode for Instagram Stories, but decided to edit it the best I could to fit into YouTube so that more people could watch and share it. It is SO important to do your research when choosing to get any kind of cosmetic injectables, and as you can see, Julie knows her stuff. She is also very detail-oriented and conservative in her treatments so that you won't walk out looking like a cartoon. Independence day is right around the corner here in the US, and if you're anywhere near the midwest then chances are it's going to be HOT! I have a hard time finding a pair of shorts that don't ride up, so I tend to choose casual dresses when I want to be comfortable in the summer. I think a good shirt dress is flattering on just about everybody and it's comfy to boot. Pair it with these Sam Edelman slides or some white Chuck Taylors to carry-on the comfy theme. Accessorize with some pops of red in your jewelry and accessories and VOILA! Festive AF.

When I put this outfit together, I envisioned sitting at a beachside cafe with a mimosa in hand. A wide brimmed hat to shield your face from the sun, and shoes you can slip on and go.
